Funny, I thought the PS3 was supposed to blow the 360 away from day one? Shouldn't the PS3 games always look better and always have faster frame rate by now? I guess we need to wait another year or two huh?
HD DVD is simpler, cheaper and has just as good picture and sound quality. BD is tightly controlled by Sony and has much more useless copy protection that can only cause compatibility problems and hurt consumers. BD uses most of the extra disk space for copy protection data anyway. Both formats hold WAY more than enough data for the longest of movies and lossless sound.

Funny how being a fanboy makes people ignore FACTS. The game has been very publicly delayed. They've even filed financial reports to stockholders detailing the revenue changes for the next three quarters.

Who wants a console to last ten years? The PS2 was outdated two years ago. I surely hope the Xbox 720 is out by 2009.
I'd much rather have a new console that hits the ground running every 4 or 5 years than one that gathers dust for the first two years and is outdated for it's last two years.

Who cares about the Wii? The 360 outsold the PS3DO by almost 4-to-1. I suspect it will remain at least 3-to-1 for the rest of the year.
Halo effect is much bigger than anyone expected. Developers are taking notice. It's a snowball effect.
MS should release huge Halo 3 content packs for free download on the same date as the two biggest PS3 releases in 2008. Same dates as say MSG4 and GT5. MSG4 would disappear from the radar like a fart in a windstorm if it had to go head-to-head with the hype of anything to do with a killer new Halo content release.
Bioshock is a truly awesome game. Not just the graphics either. Everything about the way the game is presented is perfect. The controls are perfect too. It plays so intuitively that I can pull off great moves even when I'm panicking!
Microsoft is doing the right thing by keeping Bioshock as yet another AAA exclusive. Hopefully Bioshock 2 is in the works!

PGR4 and Ace Combat 6 are right around the corner. Not like the 360 is going to fold up shop and go home now that Halo is out. There will be thousands of extra 360 owners to buy those games because of Halo 3.

360's are already selling like crazy so they didn't even have to worry about dropping the price to sell out the old models. Talk about perfect timing. Two blockbuster AAA games and now this!

I'll be playing AC6 in all its glory in a matter of weeks rather than waiting months and months and months for another cheap 360 port that probably will never come anyway.
By the way, I did tell my friend of the fanboy rumors that AC6 may come to the PS3, but he is not the type to wait a year for something that he wants when he can have it NOW.

The Wii is a one-trick pony with a worse software library than the PS3. You grab one and buy Wii Sports and one or two other games and your done. At that point it becomes a nice casual compliment to a 360 or PS3; something to be used by guests at a party or by kids.
Expect the 360 to outsell the Wii THIS Christmas and not look back.
I just finished the single player Halo 3 today. I never expected it to actually be this great because of all the hype, but it is. Definitely better than all the games they compare it to for sure. The vehicle scenes are awesome!!
Halo 3, Duke Nukem (yes the DOS game), MULE and Bioshock are the best games I've ever played. Forza 2 and Rainbow Six are pretty close behind.
